The Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand is seeking an enthusiastic, organised, pro-active champion to lead our campaign in Melbourne, Australia. Could this be YOU, or someone amazing you know?

The Green Party international team is committed to supporting Kiwis around the world to engage with and vote in the upcoming New Zealand election. Between now and September we are reaching out to Kiwis around the globe with information about voter eligibility and how to vote, all underpinned by a strong Green message.

We have identified Melbourne as a key location with a significant Kiwi population, and are seeking a volunteer to help us lead our campaign there.

International campaigning activities can include hosting events, attending relevant local events, coordinating with visiting Green MPs, handing out flyers, and social media. We have a handful of volunteers already in Melbourne, and now we are looking for someone to take the lead in pro-actively getting our volunteers together and developing a campaign. You will be supported in this by our volunteer coordinators who have experience campaigning in an overseas location, and will have access to our Kiwi Greens Global forum of volunteers around the world.

The role is a voluntary position, most likely 5-8 hours a week, and can be adjusted based on your strengths, interests, passions and availability. You should have a can-do attitude, a team work ethic, and be comfortable talking to a range of people. Knowledge of the intricacies of Green Party policy is not required; as long as you’re enthusiastic, our team can support you in learning what you need to know!

If you’re interested, or would like to know more, please drop a line to our Asia-Pacific volunteer coordinator at megan.bradyclark@greens.org.nz. Questions and ideas are also welcomed, along with any local Kiwi contacts that you think we should know about. We look forward to hearing from you!
